What are the auto companies in India

Car maker India

Annual passenger car sales have doubled in the past five years, according to the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers. The forecasts suggest that domestic sales will double or even triple by 2015, which corresponds to annual growth of between ten and 15 percent. These are growth rates that companies in the saturated markets of the West can only dream of. Western automakers have therefore joined the struggle of domestic manufacturers in India to meet the demand for inexpensive models. India has already become a kind of nucleus for research and development in the field of small cars, as automobile manufacturers there vie for the favor of millions of first-time car buyers.
