Fairy Tail Fillers: Are They Worth Watching?

There is one aspect that creates the most controversy among people about Fairy Tail and that is the fillers. There are a total of 63 fillers in Fairy Tail, which is roughly 19%.

Some fans love them; others feel like a waste of time. If you want to see Fairy Tail without fillers but are curious what it's really about, follow the guide below and decide which fillers are worth your time!

Fairy Tail is an anime that has a love-hate relationship with many otakus. On the one hand it has amazingly animated and well choreographed battles, on the other hand there is no gripping plot in which the characters indulge in stupidity.

However, it can't be denied that despite the occasional slump, the show is memorable and has one of the best RPG mechanics in the anime. The characters are attractive and the soundtracks are fun.

Fairy Tail Filler List

I. Season 1 (2009-10)

  • Natsu eats a village (episode 9)

On the way back to Magnolia, Team Natsu and Makarov Dreyar lose themselves in Clover Canyon and are extremely hungry.

Their hunger drives them to a mysterious and abandoned village, the only inhabitants of which are monsters who turn into normal-looking houses.

The Fairy Tail Guild encounters a strange magic called "Changeling" on their inquiry board. Magic exchanges the thoughts and magical abilities of two people, giving them only 30 minutes to figure out how to get back to their original bodies.

The magic cannot be undone after 30 minutes. If they fail, they are permanently stuck in foreign bodies. All you have to do is find some way with Levy to help them.

II. Season 2 (2010-11)

filler: 49-50, 69-72

  • The day of the fateful meeting (episode 49)

The episode takes place after the Harvest Festival and Fantasy, when Magnolia becomes calm again.

Lucy has a fateful encounter with a mysterious blue-haired girl who gives her a chance for romance. However, she is forced to choose between her friends and her date.

  • Special request: take care of the guy you like! (Episode 50)

Boy is worried! Juvia accidentally releases a flawed passion part she made for Gray that affects the orders. Something may or may not be going on between Lucy and Natsu.

  • Daphne Arc (Episodes 69-72)

Gray hears rumors of kite sightings and warns Natsu and Wendy. Natsu and Wendy want to discover the truth and decide to investigate it.

It slowly becomes clear that the kite situation was only staged by an accomplice of Gray, who uses artificial kites to stage the whole thing. This elaborate plan takes its course to possess the powers of the Fairy Tail Guild.

III. Season 3 (2011)

Continuation of the Daphne arc from season 2.

IV.Season 4 (2011-12)

Beginning of the Key to the Starry Arc, much of which takes place in Season 5.

V. Season 5 (2012)

Lucy's cousin Michelle shows up at the Fairy Tail Guild to give Lucy a keepsake that her father left behind. Upon Michelle's arrival, Lucy and her companions embark on a journey to uncover the secrets of an antiquated device known as the Infinity Clock.

However, with the involvement of the Legion Corps and the recently re-established Dark Guild, the reborn Oración Seis, things change. The fate of the world, as it is called, remains in the hands of Fairy Tail.

VI. Season 7 (2014-15)

  • Welcome back frog (eps. 202)

An unfortunate day for the Sabertooth Guild begins when Lector loses Frosch while shopping. The members rush out to save him and find that he is trying to get back to the guild on his own.

Not wanting to disrupt Frog's mini-mission, the members of Sabertooth secretly follow him as they overcome all obstacles and safely return to the guild.

Ezra tells a story about the time she first played billiards and met a cheater who claimed to be Fairy Tail.

  • Eclipse Celestial Spirits Bow (204-226)

The post-eclipse disaster continues when the Twelve Zodiac Gates behave strangely. They refuse their conjuration, drastically changing their appearance and personality, and severing the ties between them and the sky mages.

They rebel and demand "complete freedom" and stand up against anyone who tries to regain their ties.

VII. Season 8 (2016)

consequences: 12

filler: 268

Mavis and Zera, the new addition to the group, travel to Hargeon with the treasure hunters. Mavis discovers an old temple deep in the sea and triggers a new adventure.

Conclusion

The order of observation for Fairy Tail Anime is not complicated at all. Follow the sharing order and you'll be fine. At only 19%, the filler content is not high. So it's entirely up to you whether you want to watch it or skip it!

Seeing Fairly Tail Zero before the main storyline doesn't make much of a difference as it doesn't contain any spoilers for the rest of the anime.

Fairy tale only has 19% fillers. The filler sheets aren't that long and the individual episodes are rare. Even if you're not a fan of fillers, here are some of them that will really stand out!

Can you skip the fillers without missing out?

Fillers are anime-exclusive episodes and arcs that are not included in the manga. Hence, you can skip them without missing out on important manga events. If you feel that the fillers are boring you, don't hesitate to skip them!

The entire fifth season is a filler for Fairy Tail. Even if you skip the entire season, it's not a problem. You won't miss anything important if you skip the entire fifth season.
