# 1 I'd like to ask you to introduce yourself to our readers and tell us about your blogging journey, Janice.

Hello Sathish,

Thank you for having me today

I am the founder of the Mostly Blogging blog and co-founder of the Mostly Blogging Academy.

I started blogging in 2014 when my youngest daughter was going to college. Several other factors have steered me in this direction. I had just seen the film Julie and Julia, which was about a blogger, and came up with the idea. I also got a Masters in Education, which gave me confidence in my writing. All three factors motivated me to start my blogging journey.

Today I am a blogger, blogging coach, e-book writer, public speaker, freelance writer, and blogger.

I also have awards for Quora:

Top Writer 2018

Most viewed author: Social media management, social media strategy, blogging and blogs.

You can read more about my honors in the next answer and learn more about my blog and me here.

# 2 What do you think of your blogging successes and successes?

My biggest success came last year. Only 12 people in the world were nominated for Best Digital Marketer 2019 and I was one of them.

In addition, my blog was nominated for the most informative blog at the London Bloggers Bash in 2017. Then I was asked to judge the competition I ran in 2019. I should judge again in 2020 but the competition has been canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak. I hope to be able to judge again in the future.

# 3 What have you learned from those years of the blogging journey?

Patience. Blogging is not a literal journey. There is flow. I'm working on generating google traffic and coaching others to do the same. However, a large part of the traffic depends on Google's updates and algorithm changes.

Even if the bloggers prefer the updates, Google rewards the longevity. You need to show Google that you are in for the long run - you are not going to leave your blog - before Google brings you steady traffic.

# 4 Please tell us about your online courses, eBooks, other products and services that you offer.

Thank you for asking me and giving me the opportunity to introduce your readers to all that Mostly Blogging has to offer.

My business partner Peter Nyiri and I offer 7 blogging courses. We are the founders of the Mostly Blogging Academy.

# 5 Sure, there has to be a great community following your "Inspire Me Monday" series. What makes you such an imaginative series for readers?

Thank you for your compliments on my Inspire Me Monday Linky Party. Every week, Monday through Friday, three other women and I host a blogging event. All bloggers are invited to bring their “family-friendly” blogs with them.

The event is called “Inspire Me Monday” and it's really all about inspiration. Bloggers from all over the world come and leave their post links. It's a wonderful exposure for the blogger and a real inspiration for the guests.

For example, many recipe bloggers and craft bloggers come. Lately, people are leaving their coronavirus coping tips. During the holidays, Inspire Me Monday is full of inspiring ideas.

Each week the other hostesses and I choose two bloggers who we think are the most inspiring. They get extra exposure and their graphics are pinned to our community Pinterest board.

# 6 What are the most popular tools for SEO, blogging, and design?

I've written a lot of articles on these topics because I'm so interested in sharing my thoughts on tools to help bloggers.

SEO:

MozBar: It's a free Chrome extension. You will receive an unlimited number of inquiries per month. If you follow this tutorial, you can even use the MozBar for competitive analysis:

SERPRobot: Not only is it my favorite SEO tool, but I use it a lot during the day. I also know other bloggers who are addicted. SERPRobot is free. All at once you can quickly find your post rankings with 5 keywords. Keep using SERPRobot to see if your posts are showing at the top of Google's search results pages.

# 7Content is not king. The results are. That’s inspiring. How do you design your content strategy?

Step 1: I find a topic that people want to read about. Go to Google Trends or use this list of general blog post topics if you need help.

Step 2: Find a keyword with a high search volume but little online competition for readership. Here is a list of the keyword tools users can use.

I like KWFinder, but there are plenty of free tools on the list, including the MozBar.

Step 3: Optimize your post with the keywords. Use SEO tools like RankMath or Yoast to help you. Both are free.

Step 4: Promote after publication. Here are 63 places you can promote without being labeled a spammer.

Step 5: Update your posts with new information as you have it.

# 8 How seriously do you take creating backlinks to your blog? How do you practice to get backlinks?

I'm obsessed with building links! In this way, you can improve the SERP rankings and our domain authority rankings.

Do you want to know all of the places I am linking to my blog posts from? May I help you.

# 9 What are your profitable sources of monetization?Just about it.

Bloggers should vary their income streams. How I monetize:

I am a freelance writer. Lots of people find me on google. However, I belong to an agency called SeedingUp. It's free to join and you get a human account manager to help you. I just got a gig in my niche. You set the price so that there are no negotiations.

I also sell my e-books.

I also sell blogging courses.

I am also a trainer.

I also publish sponsored content.

# 10 Share your thoughts on social media marketing for any business. What are your proven tips for generating leads on social platforms like Instagram or LinkedIn?

I recently listened to a podcast that said you're finding opportunities on LinkedIn. This is true. The longer I am there; The more opportunities I get for monetization.

In contrast, you won't find any options on Instagram. I get people to click on my links. I wrote them in stories. In general, I use the Instagram Story Swipe Up link to put people on my email list.

My Instagram followers like my countdown function. I'm counting until a new course starts or my Linky party.

# 11 How do you deal with the design, hosting, and technical duties of your blog?

I have a wonderful tech helper, Phillip Dews.

Here is his website: https://phill.blog/

# 12 Do you have a team or VAs to assist you with content and other blogging chores?

Yes. I have a business manager, a business partner, a virtual assistant and a technical assistant. I also have a graphic designer if necessary.

# 13 Name some of your must-have SEO or blogging tools.

I think I answered this in a previous question:

MozBar and SERPRobot; I also mentioned KWFinder and gave a list of Ubersuggest alternatives.

# 14 What's your upcoming plan to take your blog to the next level and business?

The Mostly Blogging Academy has plans for an expansion! We plan to add a social media course. We are also planning an informative webinar about our range of courses.

# 15 Share your true thoughts on the Traffic Crow blog.

Your blog is great, Sathish! For example, check out many great SEO tools and their alternatives.
