Jackson Hole - Ski the Wild West

The world famous ski area of Jackson Hole is located in the middle of the majestic Grand Teton mountain range, the mountain peaks of which rise up to around 4500 meters into the often bright blue sky of Wyoming.

Jackson Hole is one of the most demanding ski areas in North America thanks to the numerous spectacular deep snow runs on which you can fly "almost" vertically towards the valley station. For real "adrenaline junkies" there is the Corbet Couloir, probably the steepest and most technically demanding slope in North America. But be careful, it can only be reached by jumping 13 meters over a cliff! The two mountains, Apres Vous and Rendezvous Mountain, have a total of 116 runs and the difference in altitude from the mountain to the valley station is over 1,260 meters.

The accommodations for the Jackson Hole ski area are either in Teton Village, in close proximity to the lifts or in Jackson, around 20 km away. The "Wild West" is still alive today in the cowboy town of Jackson, which has 8,700 inhabitants. In the evening after an exciting day in the mountains, don't miss a visit to the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar or Silver Dollar Bar. Here you meet real cowboys and you can enjoy a drink in the western saddle with live country music or you can shake off the dance floor.

There is another ski area just 60 minutes from Jackson: Grand Targhee. More advanced skiers will have a lot of fun on the two mountains. In Grand Targhee there is also the opportunity to make tracks in the deep snow while snowcat skiing. Please ask us about the prices for catskiing and the lift tickets in Grand Targhee.

We hope you enjoy skiing in the Wild West!
