As I look back on my life, I can see that God used the Bible verses I list here to fundamentally change both my personal and professional life. In fact, these verses taught me how to enjoy my daily life and truly live my Christianity.

The promises that God gives us in his word are to everyone who puts his faith in him and lives according to his ways. Romans 2:11 says that God prefers no one, and He wants each and every one of us to have the abundant life that Jesus died for.

According to the grace of God [a special gift for my job] given to me, like a skilled architect and builder, I laid the foundation, and now another [man] is building on it. But every [man] pay attention to how he builds on it, for no one can lay a foundation other than that which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ [the Messiah, the Anointed]. If someone builds on this foundation, be it with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, then the work of each [individual clearly visible, public] will become known [it will be revealed for what it is] ; because the day [of Christ] will reveal and proclaim it, for it will be exposed with fire, and the fire will test and critically evaluate the character and worth of the work that each person has done. If the work that each person has built on this foundation [any result of his labor, whatever it is, this test] survives, he will get his reward. But if a person's work burns [during the test] he will suffer loss [of everything] [and lose his wages] even if he is saved himself, but only like one who has walked through fire.
