Vehicle evaluation

Car valuation - is the price right? DEKRA evaluates vehicles appropriately

When it comes to determining the purchase, sale or replacement value of motor vehicles, you have come to the right place: We have the expert knowledge to evaluate vehicles appropriately.

When evaluating a vehicle, we make reliable statements about the condition of the vehicle. All vehicle details are recorded and all value-relevant factors are clearly documented and taken into account in terms of value. We thus offer a reliable basis for determining the value when buying or selling a vehicle.

You can contact us by phone via our service number. You can also contact one of our DEKRA branches. One of our experts will then contact you directly and make you a specific offer.

Vehicle evaluation by EDP (car, TRP, GLW, KRAD)

Depending on the intended use, we determine the following values for cars, vans up to 3.5 t (without special bodies) as well as motorcycles and off-road vehicles:

  • Dealer purchase value (HEK)
  • Dealer Selling Value (HVK)
  • Replacement value (WBW)

With this service, all vehicle details are recorded and carefully documented with the help of IT. All value-relevant factors are checked, documented in a comprehensible manner and taken into account in terms of value:

  • General vehicle data (such as design, initial registration, mileage)
  • Standard and special equipment
  • Value-increasing factors (such as AT units, value-increasing repairs)
  • Necessary repairs (such as damage, wear and tear of safety-relevant and other parts, missing inspections)
  • Missing parts (such as dismantled or dismantled standard accessories, incomplete on-board tools)
  • Depreciation from previous damage (repaired accident damage)

The vehicle is subjected to a critical examination of the interior, engine and trunk as well as the body including an inspection of the underside with the chassis. We also check the function of equipment parts and test the vehicle on a test drive.

Service for leasing returns

We determine the condition of cars, vans up to 3.5 t (without special bodies) as well as motorcycles and off-road vehicles for you.

If the condition of a vehicle deviates from the standard due to damaged parts or accidental damage, the EDP condition report clarifies the extent to which necessary repairs or previous accidents have contributed to the depreciation.

This service is designed in particular for the processing of transactions in the case of leasing returns with a contract in which a residual value is firmly agreed and only factors that increase or decrease in value need to be considered.

We document the following facts:

  • General vehicle data (such as design, initial registration, mileage)
  • Standard and special equipment
  • Value-increasing factors (such as AT units, value-increasing repairs)
  • Necessary repairs (such as damage, wear and tear on safety-relevant and other parts, missing inspections)
  • Missing parts (such as dismantled or dismantled standard accessories, incomplete on-board tools)
  • Depreciation from previous damage (repaired accident damage)

Your vehicle is subjected to a critical examination of the interior, engine and trunk as well as the body, including an inspection of the underside with the chassis. In addition, we check the function of the equipment and undertake a short test drive (usually on the company premises). The EDP-controlled status report thus includes almost the same scope of services as a vehicle evaluation, but only the lower values are shown. The purchase, sale or replacement value is not determined.

Various factors are included in the assessment

DEKRA evaluates your commercial vehicles with the help of IT. These factors are taken into account:

For vehicles that deviate significantly from the series, the rating is created individually.
