Today, Pepi Maier's work is mostly associated with his atmospheric large-scale installations of recent years: for example, the iced copper spirals from Twist Below Zerothat wind impressively through the roof beams of the Ursuline monastery, or with Danube rainin which he - on the occasion of the European Capital of Culture Linz 09 - staged the Nibelungen Bridge as a waterfall. However, in order to get on the track of his artistic approach, it is worth taking a closer look at a broad overview of his work, as this publication aims at.

Even if he is entirely in the tradition of the concept art questions familiar perspectives, terms and contexts, but with him the concept never gains dominant importance compared to the material execution of the work. This high aesthetic quality, which is not least derived from this, is particularly effective in his current, ephemeral works and thus enables people, apart from a relevant expert system, to have impressive experiences.
